Family Support

Family support aims to help children and families to be happy and to thrive, develop and grow together. They provide a range of services for children and families which includes everything from drop-in sessions for parents to stay and play in children’s centres.

For young people, they offer lots of sport and leisure activities as well as career opportunities, education and training, and when times are tough they are available to provide families with extra support.

Parenting support – Confident Parent Happy Child

This is a free service for parents and carers living in Hammersmith & Fulham with a baby, child or teenager aged up to 18 years of age. The project provides a wide range of evidence based parenting programmes in a group setting.

Programmes aim to give parents/carers the opportunity to develop skills and strategies in relation to managing children’s behaviour, feel more confident in managing their child’s behaviour, have a better understanding of their child’s development and needs and meet other parents and carers to share skills and experiences.

Parenting Courses – The Parenting Partnership Project

This offers a range of evidence based parenting programmes to parents/carers in the borough who have children between the ages of 0-18 years. Their courses provide parents with the chance to build positive relationships, make family life more enjoyable and less stressful, and build confidence and skills as a parent. The courses are free and held at a range of venues across the borough.
