Support for young refugees

The Golden Opportunity Youth Association provides employment support training, drug education, crime diversion, ICT Training, recreational activities and an offender support programme. GOYA works with young people in West London and particularly, but not exclusively, those from Black Minority Ethnic (BME)and refugee communities.

Accessing Services – British Red Cross

If you are a refugee, asylum seeker or vulnerable migrant aged 15 to 25, you may be able to get help from the British Red Cross. We’ll look at your needs and may be able to give one-to-one support. Depending on what services are available in your area, this could include help with: understanding the asylum process, preparing documents, eg letters and applications, health, education and social care support, learning new skills, building confidence, knowing what support you can get and helping you to get it.

Legal Advice – Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre

Provides free legal advice to residents of H&F, including matters of housing, immigration and asylum. They offer telephone advice and face to face sessions, and are located in Hammersmith Library.
